Rural and Post Acute
The Council for Rural, Ambulatory and Post Acute Healthcare and Alaska shall be responsible overseeing the special needs of rural healthcare professionals and providers in both Washington and Alaska. Committee E will devote particular efforts to providing educational opportunities for our Alaska members. The council should also cover educational programs for small/rural delivery systems, ambulatory and post acute care.

Committee E Details
Committee E is responsible for:
- Providing input to other councils and committees regarding emerging issues and concerns specific to rural healthcare, coordinating workshops/meetings, and working to establish a formal network among member and non-member accounting and finance personnel working in rural healthcare.
- Developing appropriate meeting or workshop programs related to post acute care including nursing home management, payment issues, home health, subacute, assisted living, strategic planning, and financial management.
- Developing appropriate meeting or workshop programs related to ambulatory care issues as they affect rural facilities, including outpatient payment issues, staffing, and APC s.
- Determining the best methods of providing education to members who cannot attend quarterly meetings due to the geographic diversity.
- Seeking input from Alaska members regarding special issues pertinent to them.
- Cultivating liaison with the Alaska Hospital and Nursing Home Association and the Washington Health Care Association.
- Writing articles for the Chapter newsletter.
- Providing speaker information to the Program Development Chair at least ten weeks prior to educational session.
- Effective communication between LCC meetings in order to complete committee business.
