Have you ever wanted to read the latest information about your market, your industry or the HFMA region but didn’t have the time to do so?
Well, if you have, you are not alone. You see, our responsibilities have increased, and our available time has shrunk generally. Now we carry miniature social media devices which we use to text, instant message, download, upload, and educate ourselves. But we still only have 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week.
Have you saturated your outbox to the point where you want to just find an eddy behind a rock, and read for the sake of learning, broadening your perspective, discovering the thoughts, challenges, and solutions are from others in the industry, as well as from your peers?
We have a solution. It’s right here, and your eyes are standing in it. So what can you expect to find here? Plenty!
Since this is a blog, this is our way of sharing information with you that may not fit a particularly narrow category. We can share the latest and greatest healthcare news, we can share local stories that may have significance to you. But it doesn’t need to be just that.
This can include best vacation locations, family activities, nutrition, overall health and well being, career enhancement, Medicare cost reports, revenue cycle, INHS information. You name it, we can include it.
The power of the blog!
Of course, this is not something to be undertaken by one person. And so, I will rely upon you to provide comments in the comment section to give us ideas to bring to everyone in the WA-AK HFMA Chapter.
Since this is the first, a one of a kind narrative experience, this is simply our way of making introductions. There is plenty to say about healthcare, but that will be tomorrow’s challenge. For today, this is simply: “Hello! How can we help you?”
From the northern slopes of Alaska, to the southern border of Washington, we will be working hard to bring you information that you can digest on your schedule, when you have time, as you need it.
But for now, this is about introductions.
Why be bothered in HFMA? Let’s look in on persons who have some very good reasons for doing so:
This organization is not just for the career hopefuls, nor it is about the E-Suite stratus of the health care organization. This is a dynamic group of members who share common challenges and experiences.
But it’s simply not about one dynamic, one issue, one bit of legislation. This is about it all.
And with an addition of a blog to our chapter, we think we’ve the opportunity to make up some ground on keeping membership informed.
Let us know what you think!
